Wellesley WF

Born and bred at Windswept Farm in Georgetown, Ontario, Wellesley is a chestnut stallion standing at 17.0 hh and is an AHS Approved Stallion by World Cup IV x SPS Esplanade. Wellesley combines his father’s beautiful temperament and powerful appearance with his dam’s exceptional conformation and lightness in movement.

Wellesley is a versatile athlete with a good mind and strong work ethic. Not only does he demonstrate powerful, yet graceful movement, but also has great scope and jumping form.

His dam, SPS Esplanade, was one of many State Premium Mares in Windswept Farm’s breeding program, and she consistently produced highly successful performance horses in the hunter, jumper and dressage disciplines.

Wellesley’s offspring have proven to be exceptional performance horses. Many of his foals have been champions at their foal inspections and, living up to the expectations of their early accomplishments, they have achieved great success in their show careers. Wellesley’s offspring have proven to be top hunters, jumpers and dressage horses, competing with great success at top performance levels.

Wendeleen WF was recently named Champion at her AHS Foal Inspection. One of Wellesley's first son’s, Wolfe WF, has achieved many hunter Championships on the Southern California “A” Show Circuit as well as USEF Year End Champion Awards. Wolfe also received AHS year-end awards in each of his show years 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. Wellesley’s daughter Waltzing Mathilda WF, also earned many Championships at many prestigious “A” Circuit Southern California horse shows, including Half-Circuit Champion at the Thermal Desert show. His daughter, EM Wildflower WF, was the highest scoring mare in her MPT (7/8/8, and 9/8 for jumping).

Wellesley typically passes on his performance abilities to his get, including superior overall  athleticism, rideability, and correct conformation. His offspring typically have both good temperaments and minds, and their consistently excellent performance records speak well of their sire.
